  • April 2012: Agreement No. CE 43/2010 (HY)Central Kowloon Route - Design & Construction The Company has been awarded the MAI as part of the proposed Central Kowloon Route (CKR), a dual 3-lane trunk road across the Kowloon peninsula linking the West Kowloon Reclamation in the west and the proposed Kai Tak Development (previously known as South East Kowloon Development) in the east. CKR will connect the West Kowloon Highway at Yau Ma Tei Interchange to the proposed Trunk Road T2 at Kai Tak Development.

    The major objective of the Project is to relieve the vehicular traffic loading on the existing urban distributor roads across the Kowloon peninsula, including Boundary Street, Prince Edward Road, Argyle Street, Waterloo Road, Chatham Road North and Gascoigne Road Flyover. A dual 3-lane tunnel is proposed between the West Kowloon Reclamation and the Kai Tak Development.

    GBFC continues to support SDA Marine who are the approved and preferred representative for the Antiquities Department in Hong Kong and recognised by all of the major consultants as the leading company in this specialist field with the proven capability, experience and resource capacity to pursue all such projects to be released in the near future. The works are scheduled to begin and be completed in April 2012.
