Project Highlights

Allain Duhangan Power Company Limited (ADPCL or the project) will be jointly owned by Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills Limited (RSWM), HEG Limited (HEG) and Malana Power Company Limited (MPCL). The sponsors are part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group.

The project is to build, own and operate a 192MW run-of-the-river hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh (Northern India). ADPCL will operate as a base-load plant during the summer and rainy seasons, and as a peaking plant in the winter and non-monsoon months. The project will utilize the perennial flows of the Allain and Duhangan rivers, and combine the flows through two underground tunnels to feed a single powerhouse near Prini Village. The project is one of the first private hydropower plants financed on a merchant basis in South Asia.

BEKK Solutions SGRL (India) Pvt Ltd the Indian contracting arm of the GBFC has been awarded the contract for the ground consolidation and successfully completed the grouting operations using shotcrete and polyurethane grouts in the portal and HRT tunnels by L&T that will be performing the construction work.

The project will help meet peak and energy shortages by supplying competitively priced power to the Northern Region of India.
