Hong Kong - MTRC Contract 901 - South Island Line (East)
Admiralty Integrated Station & SCL Enabling Works
The Company has been awarded the contract by Kier-Laing O'Rourke-Kaden JV to supply experienced supervision and skilled workforce and is currently mobilizing the personnel to oversee and execute the shotcreting and rock bolting activities during the Top Down phase of the underground scope of works.
The joint venture was awarded the target cost contract for the construction of an integrated Admiralty Station. The works involve the construction of four new platforms underneath the existing Admiralty Station (ADM), two for South Island Line East (SIL) and two for the future Shatin-to-Central Link. Major elements of the works include a new extension east of the existing station; station cavern and overrun tunnel; underpinning of existing finger tunnels; diaphragm walls and secant pile walls; and relocation or demolition of various existing station facilities.
The existing Admiralty Station in Hong Kong is being extended to provide interchange facilities between Tsuen Wan Line, the new South Island Line and the future Shatin to Central Link. The works to the busiest station in Hong Kong are in progress without affecting the continuing operation of the existing facilities.
The Project is situated in the central business district on Hong Kong Island with works being carried out on multiple fronts in a very congested site area that is surrounded by skyscrapers, major highways and the existing MTR underground lines.
